Special assistance
Passengers with special needs can get assisted from check-in time until boarding the aircraft by asking at the time of reservation.
Unaccompanied minors
Underage children over 5 years old can travel by themselves by following a special procedure that must be activated at the time of booking. Arrangements must be made concerning the people collecting him/her at destination and those accompanying the minor to the airport, who are supposed to remain available until take off.

Traveling with pets
Whether they are traveling in cabin or hold, a reservation must be made in advance for the transportation of pets. It is subject to confirmation on Ethiopian Airlines’ side.
The cost is related to weight and it is calculated separately, regardless the actual weight of registered baggage carried by the passenger. Current costs are € 12.00 for any African destination, and € 4.00 for the Rome-Stockholm sector.
Conditions of transport for pets in cabin
- To travel in cabin the whole weight of the pet including the cage must not exceed 8 kilograms, and the sum of the cage’s dimensions must not exceed 115 cm.
- On each flight, there can be a maximum of two pets in economy class and one in business class.
Conditions of transport for pets in hold
- There is no specific limitation to the number of pets that can be carried in hold but their acceptance is subject to specific conditions and thus always subject to confirmation.
